To see the sites we either walked or took the local shuttles wherever we needed to go. We purchased a pass to ride the shuttles as much as we wanted, and they went everywhere along the strip. They came by every 15 minutes. It was a really good investment that I would highly recommend. There was also an incline tram that was a short cut from the hotels above the falls down to the visitor center. It cost a little bit too, but it saved us from having to walk the long way around. I don't remember exactly how far it was, but a pretty good walk. It was also worth it.
The attractions related to the falls were great. You will get wet. But at each one a poncho was given out for you to stay partially dry and to keep as a souvenir. We were also impressed by how clean everything was. No trash anywhere. There were well manicured garden areas scattered all over.
We still see advertisements in our emails on a regular basis. If we didn't have so many other places we'd like to see, I would go back in a second.
As of today we are booked for our first cruise ever in November. They call it a first timers cruise, hosted by a local radio station. We'll ride by motorcoach to Galveston. The cruise will go to Cozumel and Progreso. The entire trip is scheduled to be 7 days. We'll be sure to let you know about it.
